We are starting to turn off the red light for a few hours. They are getting larger now and more brown feathers are coming through. Only their heads have yellow fuzzy feathers.
I decided to make little chicken roost since they want to pull the cardboard of the kennel to stand on. They are getting more adult feathers. They are going up so fast. Pretty soon they will be in the big coupe.
Our chicks are changing very fast. They are getting more feathers on them and they are starting to look less fuzzy. I cleaned out their old bedding and swept the floor for the 5th time today. They are pretty playful and messy little things. Great experience though love that I can watch them grow.
They are growing up so fast. They have little red feathers coming in. Pretty soon they will be big enough to go in the big coupe outside. The dogs and cats are still entertained by them.
We had to reinforce the dog kennel more because a chick decided to try to squeeze out. I think they only sleep for 5 minutes then it is play time once again.
Today was the day we picked up our little chicks. We decided on Rhode Island Reds because we wanted large brown eggs. We picked out 9 total. This is going to be a fun adventure.
